How to Create & Send a Campaign in MailerLogic

Published:

Campaigns in MailerLogic allow you to design, personalize, segment, and send marketing emails directly from your CRM. From sending a newsletter, webinar invite, or a product update, the campaign builder is designed to be beginner-friendly while still powerful enough for advanced users.

One of the biggest advantages of MailerLogic is that it combines CRM-based audience selection, built-in compliance, responsive preview, and structured sending controls. You don’t need multiple tools to design, segment, and deliver your email.

This guide walks you through the entire process step by step.

Step 1: Create a New Campaign

Navigate to 'Emails' → 'Campaigns', then click '+ Create Campaign'.

1

Step 2: Name Your Email

Enter the 'Email Name' and click 'Create Email' to continue.

Step 4: Add a Call-to-Action

Use the '+' icon to add a 'Button' to add call-to-action links.

4

Step 5: Customize Your Layout

You can also change the color of the button, text, and continue adding and arranging sections to build your email layout.

5

Step 6: Ensure Compliance

Your email must include the following merge tags:
{{unsubscribe}}
{{postalAddress}}

These are required for compliance (such as CAN-SPAM regulations). You can insert them using the 'Insert Menu' inside the editor.

MailerLogic helps enforce compliance by making these required elements easy to insert, reducing the risk of legal or deliverability issues.

14

Step 7: Preview Your Email

Before sending your campaign, click 'Preview' to see how your email appears.

6

Step 8: Check Device Views

You can preview your email in Laptop View and Phone View.

You can also click 'Send Test Email' and send a live test to yourself.

7

Step 9: Send a Test Email

Enter your email address and click 'Send Test' to verify formatting, links, and personalization.

8

Step 10: Configure Email Settings

Open the 'Settings' section to configure your subject line, preview text, and sending identity.

Enter a 'Subject Line' and optional 'Preview Text'. Choose a recognizable 'From Name', configure your branded 'From Address' (e.g., noreply@yourdomain.com), and optionally set a 'Reply-To Address'.

Add your 'Company Name' to enable the {{companyName}} merge tag in your email body.

All the details you entered are auto-saved automatically.

9

Step 11: Add Compliance & Personalization Settings

Enter your official company's 'Postal address', as it is required for compliance and will appear in the email footer.

You can enable 'Personalize the ‘Send To’ field,' so recipients see their name in the inbox, and add tags to organize and track your campaign performance. Once everything is configured, click 'Save' to apply the settings.

10

Step 12: Select Recipients

Open the Recipients section.

MailerLogic stands out here because it connects directly to your CRM. You are not uploading static lists; you are selecting dynamic, real-time contacts.

You can select an existing 'Segment', using the dropdown list.

11

Step 13: Apply Filters (Optional)

If you choose to 'Filter by tags & properties', you can create rules such as:

Status is equal to Subscribed

You can add multiple rules and combine them using 'AND/OR' logic.

Groups follow this format: (rule AND rule) OR (rule)

This gives you advanced segmentation control without needing technical skills.

You may also enable the option to stop sending to 'Unengaged contacts'.

12

Step 14: Sync Recipients

Click the button 'Sync Recipients' to lock recipients.

16

Step 15: Schedule the Campaign

Open the Schedule section.

Choose to 'Send Now' or 'Schedule for Later'. If scheduling, select the date, time, and correct timezone, then click 'Schedule Campaign' to finalize.

13

Step 16: Review Performance

After sending, you will be redirected to the campaign summary page.

Here, you can view:

  • Campaign details (name, ID, subject, sender, reply-to)

  • Options to 'Duplicate Campaign' or 'Export Report'

  • Performance tabs: Overview, Deliverability, Opens, Clicks, Links, Unsubscribes, and Bounces

The Overview section displays metrics such as Sent, Delivered, Opens, Clicks, Unsubscribes, and Bounces.

MailerLogic filters metrics by human activity (excluding bot/scanner activity) for more accurate reporting.

At the bottom, you can view the campaign date range.

Your campaign workflow is now complete.

Final Checklist Before Sending

Before scheduling or sending, make sure:

  • Your subject line is clear and personalized
  • Your email includes {{unsubscribe}} and {{postalAddress}}
  • You have tested the email
  • Your recipient filters are correct
  • Your timezone is accurate

This ensures your campaigns are compliant, targeted, and optimized for deliverability.
