Using MailerLogic SMTP with GoHighLevel (GHL), FluentCRM & Other Platforms

Published:

If you are using MailerLogic SMTP together with platforms such as:

  • GoHighLevel (GHL)
  • FluentCRM
  • ActiveCampaign
  • HubSpot
  • Mailchimp
  • Klaviyo
  • Other CRM/marketing automation systems

we strongly recommend using only one platform for click tracking.

Most third-party platforms already rewrite and track links before the email reaches MailerLogic SMTP. Enabling click tracking on both platforms can cause:

  • Double-tracked links
  • Incorrect redirect URLs
  • Tracking inconsistencies
  • Inflated or missing click statistics
  • Deliverability issues due to excessive redirects

Recommended Setup

✅ Best Practice

When using external platforms like GHL or FluentCRM:

Use:

  • External platform tracking (GHL/FluentCRM/etc.)
  • MailerLogic SMTP delivery

Disable:

  • MailerLogic Click Tracking

This provides the cleanest and most accurate setup.

Why This Happens

Platforms like GHL rewrite links before sending the email through MailerLogic SMTP.

Example:

Original link:
https://yourwebsite.com/page

GHL rewrites to:
https://link.msgsndr.com/email-tracking/...

If MailerLogic also rewrites the same link, the result becomes:

MailerLogic tracking
→ GHL tracking
→ Final destination

This creates:

  • Multiple redirect hops
  • Incorrect click attribution
  • Reporting mismatches between systems

Delivery Stats vs Open/Click Stats

MailerLogic SMTP Delivery Stats

MailerLogic delivery statistics are processed in real-time and accurately reflect:

  • Emails accepted
  • Emails delivered
  • Bounces
  • SMTP processing

Open Tracking Limitations

Open tracking is not always 100% accurate on any platform.

Modern email clients such as:

  • Gmail
  • Apple Mail
  • Outlook
  • Privacy filters
  • Corporate gateways

may:

  • Block tracking pixels
  • Cache images
  • Preload images
  • Disable remote images

This can cause differences in reported open rates between platforms.

How to Disable Click Tracking in MailerLogic

Step 1

Go to 'Domains' and then 'Sending Domains.' Click the domain actions menu (⋮) and select "Tracking Settings" for your sending domain.

Step 2

Disable click tracking and save your settings.
